Sherlocks Glass Brand Review

Living Soil Flower & Rosin That Actually Lives Up

By Bluegrass Reviews

If you’ve followed me for a minute, you already know I’m not big on hyping stuff just to hype it. I review what I actually smoke, and I only point people somewhere if it really holds up.

Sherlocks Glass & Dispensary in North Carolina is one of those places that’s earned that recommendation more than once.

This isn’t one of those “looks good on Instagram, mid in real life” situations. This is one of the few shops where you can tell there’s actual intention behind what they’re doing.

Here’s the breakdown.

What is Sherlocks Glass & Dispensary?

Sherlocks started out as a glass shop back in 2015 in Raleigh, NC. Just two guys building something around American-made glass and doing it the right way.

Over time, as THCa and hemp opened up, they leaned into it and built out a full dispensary side — but they didn’t go the mass-produced route like most places.

Now they’ve got three locations (Raleigh, Durham, Wake Forest) and ship nationwide.

The big difference? They curate. It’s not just “fill the shelves and move product.” You can tell they actually care what ends up in the jar.

The Living Soil THCa Flower

This is where they really separate themselves.

Most flower right now, especially online, is pushed hard for yield. Synthetic nutrients, fast turnarounds, looks decent, but the smoke just doesn’t always translate.

Sherlocks focuses on living soil, and you can tell pretty much immediately.

When you crack the jar, it actually smells alive. Not that artificial, one-note smell you get from a lot of stuff.

The smoke is where it really shows though. Cleaner burn, fuller flavor, and the effects feel more rounded instead of just hitting you in one direction.

It’s the kind of flower where you take a second hit just to make sure you weren’t tripping on the first one.

They also run some genetics you don’t see everywhere. Stuff like Blue Lobster (which got a lot of attention for a reason), plus older genetics like Thai and Durban Poison that most places don’t even bother with anymore.

If you’ve been chasing that “older weed that actually hit different” feeling… this is closer to that than most of what’s out right now.

Live Hash Rosin – Small Batch, Done Right

The rosin side is just as dialed.

This isn’t bulk, churned-out concentrate. It’s small batch, solventless, and you can tell they’re working with people who know what they’re doing.

First dab I took, it was one of those where the flavor hits immediately and actually sticks around. Not that quick flash of terps that disappears halfway through.

Texture is where it should be too — that creamy, easy-to-work consistency that melts clean.

If you’ve ever grabbed rosin locally and wondered why it felt kinda flat or grainy… yeah, this is what it’s supposed to be like.

You can actually taste the strain instead of just “generic rosin flavor.”

Rosin Carts & Vapes (No Shortcuts)

I’m usually picky with carts because most of them are just distillate with added terps and call it a day.

This isn’t that.

Their Sesh line is all live hash rosin carts — no distillate base, no weird additives.

The difference is noticeable right away. Smoother hits, actual flavor, and the effects feel way closer to flower instead of that one-note cart high.

The O2Vape hardware they’re using helps too. Clean draw, no harshness, no burnt taste halfway through.

If you’ve been stuck on distillate carts thinking that’s just how they are, this is probably what changes your mind.

The Three Locations

Each shop has its own vibe, but they’re all consistent where it matters — quality and knowledge.

Raleigh – Bright, clean setup. Feels like a proper flagship. Staff actually knows what they’re talking about, which isn’t always a given.

Durham – This one’s a little different. More of a gallery feel, and they even do live glass blowing events. Doesn’t feel like a typical dispensary at all.

Wake Forest – Newer spot, a little more lowkey. Same quality, just more of a neighborhood feel.

Shipping Nationwide

If you’re not in North Carolina, they still ship.

Packaging is clean, everything’s labeled right, and COAs are easy to find — which matters more and more with how weird the hemp space is getting.

It doesn’t feel sketchy or thrown together, which… honestly isn’t always the case online.

The Verdict

Sherlocks is one of the few places that actually feels like they care about what they’re putting out.

The flower hits like it should. The rosin is legit. The carts don’t feel like shortcuts.

Nothing about it feels rushed or mass-produced.

If you’re used to grabbing stuff that looks good but doesn’t really deliver, this is the kind of shop that reminds you what it’s supposed to be like.

Whether you’re in North Carolina or ordering online, Sherlocks Glass & Dispensary is worth checking out.

If you’re trying to get a better feel for what they’re putting out, I’ve got a full breakdown of one of my favorite jars so far — the Bonkers (Lemon Tree x Cookies & Cream). That one really shows what they do well.
